The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) is the United Nations Organization's main policy-making body. It provides a unique platform for multilateral discussion of the complete spectrum of international issues covered by the United Nations Charter. It is made up of all UN Member States. It examines specific concerns through agenda items or sub-items that lead to resolutions being passed.

 

 

The Third Committee is charged by the General Assembly with a variety of social, humanitarian, and human rights issues that affect people all over the world. The Committee considers themes such as women's progress, child safety, indigenous issues, refugee treatment, fundamental freedoms promotion through the elimination of racism and racial discrimination, and the right to self-determination.
