Greetings Delegates, and Faculties!

With immense honour, privilege and anticipation  I, in my capacity  as the Head of International Press, extend the warmest invitation to you for the seventh edition of the annual Model United Nations Conference hosted by The Lawrence School, Sanawar.

This year, our conference theme, ‘Quo Vadimus?’ or ‘Where Are We Going?’, prompts us to reflect deeply on the trajectory of our world and our collective journey towards the future. As we convene to discuss pressing global issues, we are compelled to contemplate the paths we are currently treading and the directions we must choose to ensure a brighter, more sustainable tomorrow.

At Sanawar, we are steadfast in our commitment to fostering the leaders of tomorrow, individuals who possess the foresight to navigate the uncertainties of our times and chart a course towards a future defined by purpose and direction. As we gather to deliberate on the theme "Quo Vadimus: Where Are We Going?", we are reminded of the imperative to envision and pursue pathways that lead to a world characterised by resilience, equity, and sustainability.

Drawing inspiration from the words of Barack Obama, we are reminded of the urgency to strive for safer communities, fairer systems of justice, and a planet that thrives for generations to come. It is our collective aspiration to contribute meaningfully to this noble endeavour through thoughtful discourse and purposeful action.

We hope to successfully build a conference that is wholly useful by integrating the teachings of our institution and the United Nations Organisation at large, which I believe we, as delegates, past and present, hold in the highest respect. We hope to make this conference and your journey through it a success with your enthusiastic support, confidence, and unwavering rigour, as well as the ample chances for debate, analysis, problem-solving, and documentation that the committees provide the participants.

We are honoured to host this year's conference on our picturesque hilltop campus, a sanctuary where ideas converge and aspirations soar. We are confident that SNAMUN’24 will be an enriching and unforgettable experience for each participant.

As the the Head of International Press for the conference, I, once again invite you to join us at Sanawar, as we embark on a journey of exploration, introspection, and collaboration. Together, let us seek answers to the question, ‘Quo Vadimus?’ or ‘Where are we going?’ and endeavour to make a meaningful difference in the world.

Warm regards,

Ayanna Soin

Head of International Press.
